It seems, that the Instrument (Xcode) does not log memory leaks correctly, when app runs in Simulator. It shows leaks that aren't there - and there are rumours, that real leaks are partly unattended, when running at Simulator.

Holy moses! I think know I finally get it! The - (void)drawRect:(CGRect)rect of UIView does nothing by default and has to be first implemented. Am I right with this assumption??

Why did Apple made it so complicated to draw simple pixels on the UIView, or to get simple incremental drawing done? Why is there no direct access to the underlying CALayer?
